That’s right – the CEF Auction never sleeps. Believe it or not, preparations for the 2014 Auction are well underway. In fact, the date and venue have already been secured, but one piece is missing: a co-chair for the committee. Or maybe we should say a dynamic co-chairing duo. Three-year alum Mandy Huth has committed to co-chairing this year’s auction in a supporting role, but she needs a person who will take over the reins.  If you have been looking for a good way to get seriously involved in fundraising in Camas, this may be the job for you! See this job description for more detail about what’s involved, and contact Mandy at cefcamas@gmail.com  if you are at all curious.

Yeah, having your schoolwork posted on the fridge at home is cool. But having a video you made posted on the Camas School District website and screened at the Liberty Theatre in downtown Camas? We think that’s pretty cool, too. That’s why we’re excited to announce the first-ever Camas School District Student Film Festival: a video contest created just for K-12 students, and whose finalists will have their short films shown at the Liberty Theatre. Finalist videos may also be featured on the District website, YouTube channel, and social media pages.

In early 2015, a Facilities Advisory of Citizens, Teachers, Staff and Students (FACTSS) met to research and study current and future facilities needs in the Camas School District. Based on their findings and community input, the FACTSS team has recommended a Capital Facilities Bond be placed before voters in February 2016.

Come hear about the proposed bond and give us feedback at one of three listening posts!
